What is Inside VA

Inside VA is a professional claims‑development platform built to streamline the preparation, organization, and submission of VA disability claims. It provides a unified workspace for:

• Managing veteran profiles
• Importing and organizing medical evidence
• Highlighting and tagging key information
• Matching conditions to diagnostic codes
• Building narratives
• Assembling complete claim packets

System Requirements

Operating System

• Windows 10 or later (64‑bit)

Hardware

• 8 GB RAM minimum (16 GB recommended)
• 500 MB free disk space
• Dual‑core processor or better

Installation

1. Download the Inside VA installer from the VetForge website.
2. Run the installer and follow the on‑screen prompts.
3. Launch Inside VA from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut.

First‑Run Setup

On first launch, Inside VA creates a secure workspace directory where all veteran profiles, evidence, and generated documents are stored. No manual configuration is required.

Workspace Overview

The interface includes:

• Title Bar – App icon, veteran name, window controls
• Menu Bar – File, Veterans, Records Requests, Build Claim, Tools, Help
• Main Workspace – Evidence, claims, and tools
• Status Bar – Active module and background indicators

Understanding the Workflow

1. Add or import a Veteran
2. Load evidence
3. Analyze and tag evidence
4. Build the claim
5. Export the packet
6. Submit to VA.gov
